High Performance PC needed for FX speculating...think again!

Around £250 - Plugs into any HDMI monitor and you have a PC

It's always exciting either planning what PC you are going to buy, or how you should upgrade your current PC in the hope that it will leverage up your potential results and ability to trade profitably. However, the truth is that speculating on FX from home, in an office or whilst on the move requires no expensive high specification PC or device, at all. The fact that you can even access your trading platform on a mobile phone should demonstrate this already - although I don't recommend it myself due to the mobile application usually having many less features than a desktop application; not to mention the screen size!

The above device is what I use, it's portable, it plugs straight into an HDMI slot on any TV or monitor. You turn it on and you have a light level PC with WiFi connection, USB for any devices and BlueTooth also. It's dedicated to FX speculation with no other unnecessary performance restricting software or applications.

I have to agree that it can be exciting to imagine have three more more monitors lined up showing an array of charts and analysis, after all this is what we see on all the trading films and Bloomberg! But when starting off more focus should be given to maintaining a successful speculating strategy. When the money starts coming in then you can go all out and reward yourself with a kick-ass state of the art system....but lets not run before we can walk!

The bottom line is that any PC will be sufficient with perhaps 4GB of RAM, a decent version of Windows such as 8.1 or 10 and more importantly a stable internet connection. You can pick up a new desktop for £300 meeting the above criteria. One word of advice I would give though would be to restrict your PC or device to just that of running your trading platform, this will aid software performance and stop any distractions too, at least from my own personal expierence.
